The Ops Services Learning + Development team is responsible for finding ways to make lives easier for Team Members at CAVA. We do this through leader led coaching and training, on the job training, and digital experiences through our Learning Management System (LMS).
The Role
The Sr. Manager, Field Training is responsible for all restaurant manager development programs (Cava Academy). They will own the creation of materials, supporting media, content maintenance, and program administration.
CAVA Academy is Cava’s manager and station trainer development program. It includes basic training for both internal and external hires in all manager roles, the station training program and career development.
In addition to leading the Academy program, the Sr. Manager will build a robust Field Training program, hiring and developing Regional Field Trainers. This program will support the successful roll out of CAVA’s Key Initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
· Own the CAVA Academy program which includes all manager + station trainer development
· Certify newly promoted CAVA Academy GMs
· Prioritize the development of internal talent through the manager career path.
· Support manager development through regular learning sessions with field leaders
· Spend time in restaurants with managers to share their experiences and make training recommendations
· Manage the creation and updating of learning materials both in print and digital
· Hire, train, and develop a team of Regional Field Trainers to support training execution of CAVA’s Key Initiatives
· Develop and execute an accountability plan to ensure Academy restaurants are operating to program standards.
· Lead strategy of field training initiatives (ex. menu rollouts, culture change campaigns, key initiative roll outs)
· Build and send Partner with Ops Analytics to develop rebust reporting on all field training initiatives
· Support restaurant operations by quickly responding to support email tickets from restaurants requesting assistance during restaurant hours
· Collect, analyze, and report on learner feedback to support the continuous improvement of L+D programs
Qualifications:
· Two Four or more years in a training manager or field leader role in a restaurant environment
· Experience with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel and Word
· Experience analyzing data and making recommendations
· Professional presence in a corporate environment
· Highly organized and skilled in project management
· Ability to work on multiple projects with quick turnaround times
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· A passion for food, people and storytelling
