We’re seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Benefits Manager to oversee our comprehensive benefits program. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing employee benefits plans and programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic guidance to optimize our benefits offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry best practices.
As our Senior Benefits Manager, you will:
- Manage and support the development and implementation of a comprehensive benefits strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
- Design and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other employee perks
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, such as COBRA, ACA, and HIPAA, and stay up-to-date with changes in legislation
- Evaluate and select benefit vendors and partners, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of benefits programs, including enrollment, claims processing, and employee communications
- Manage benefit partners and invoices
- Analyze benefits data and trends to identify opportunities for program enhancements, cost savings, and improved employee satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as internal HR and Finance, to ensure seamless benefits administration and compliance
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, issues, and concerns
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in benefits management, and proactively recommend improvements to our benefits offerings
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, utilizing UKG software to optimize HR processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in benefits management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- In-depth understanding of benefits regulations and compliance requirements, such as ACA, and HIPAA
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and benefits administration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex benefits information to employees at all levels
- Strong leadership and people management abilities
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
