As our Director, Business Development, you will:

  • Develop and execute an outreach and prospecting business development strategy
  • Research and lead score college and university prospects based on criteria established with senior leadership
  • Build, own, and manage agency’s prospect database and contact list utilizing CRM
  • Develop and share new business proposals for/with college and university prospects, collaborating with agency team members to represent cross-functional offerings
  • Coordinate CCA team presence and participation at marketing events and conferences
  • Lead pitch development and planning, working with, and across, agency teams (content, media, strategy, creative, account management) to ensure pitches are well orchestrated and successful
  • Identify, build, and manage long-term relationships with prospects in the higher education community
  • Perform other duties as assigned

You have:

  • 10-12 years of relevant experience experience, with agency business development experience preferred
  • BA/BS degree required, degree in Marketing/Advertising is a plus
  • Experience in higher education marketing and advertising is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with an ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management and clients
  • Proven track record managing multiple, complex projects from conception through implementation
  • Existing network across senior leaders in enrollment, development, and/or marketing departments at institutions of higher education is a plus
  • Working knowledge of traditional and digital media platforms, content strategy, agency creative teams, and an understanding of brand research and brand campaign development
  • Familiarity with lead generation and direct-to-consumer marketing
  • Proficiency in HubSpot CRM platform or similar CRM
  • Willingness to travel several times per month, as necessary
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
