Overview:

Responsible for driving net new business growth for BHN across Australia. The role is focused on securing new logos, opening new revenue channels, and expanding Blackhawk’s footprint across priority industry verticals.

This role will also support growth initiatives across a select group of Australian Strategic Accounts (ASAs) and work closely with the Head of New Business to progress qualified inbound (Transactional) opportunities into scalable, repeatable revenue streams.

Responsibilities:

Net New Business & Logo Acquisition

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new logos across multiple industry verticals in line with the Australian new business strategy
  • Develop and execute target account plans for priority prospects, including stakeholder mapping and value proposition development
  • Proactively originate opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, events, conferences, and partner ecosystems
  • Aggressively pursue and close new commercial partnerships that deliver sustainable, long-term revenue

Transactional & Inbound Opportunity Support

  • Work closely with the Head of New Business on qualified inbound (Transactional) leads allocated to you
  • Convert inbound demand into structured opportunities, identifying those with potential to scale into long-term partnerships
  • Provide feedback loops to improve lead quality, qualification criteria, and conversion outcomes

Strategic Account Growth (ASA Support)

  • Support growth initiatives across a subset of Australian Strategic Accounts where incremental revenue opportunities are identified
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to unlock expansion use cases, pilots, or new product/channel adoption within existing customers
  • Maintain a clear distinction between new logo acquisition and existing account expansion, with primary accountability remaining on net-new business

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and execution of the Australian new business sales strategy, adapting as market conditions evolve
  • Build a robust pipeline aligned to revenue targets, maintaining disciplined forecasting and opportunity management
  • Lead and contribute to tenders, RFPs, and complex bids, coordinating internal resources across product, legal, finance, and operations

Internal Collaboration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates, pipeline reporting, and sales activity tracking
  • Act as a strong internal advocate for customer needs, ensuring solutions are commercially viable and operationally executable
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support deal execution and long-term customer success

Qualifications:

  • BA in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or Strategic Partnerships, ideally within B2B, payments, incentives, loyalty, or technology-enabled services
  • Demonstrated success in net new logo acquisition and opening new markets or verticals
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify, structure, and close complex opportunities
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers and navigate multi-stakeholder buying environments
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and influence outcomes
  • Highly execution-focused with a track record of delivering against aggressive growth targets
  • Strong communicator and collaborator who builds trust across internal teams and external partners
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable operating in a performance-driven, growth-oriented environment
