Job Title: Logistics Analyst
Job Summary:
UrbanStems is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Logistics Analyst to support our outbound logistics operations and enhance outbound shipping performance. This role will focus on data analysis, reporting, and providing actionable insights. The Logistics Analyst will serve as the primary point of contact for outbound carriers, ensuring service quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries. Proficiency in Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Excel and BI tools.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on outbound logistics performance and cost efficiency.
Outbound Carrier Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for outbound carriers, including FedEx, UPS, and local carriers.
- Monitor carrier performance metrics, such as delivery accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in evaluating and onboarding new carriers, ensuring alignment with company logistics needs.
- Collaborate with carriers to resolve issues and improve service levels.
- Ensure the accuracy of carrier maps to support efficient logistics during both everyday as well as holiday peak periods.
Process Optimization
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance logistics workflows and customer experience.
- Support initiatives and projects aimed at improving delivery times, reducing costs, and increasing overall efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Customer Experience (CX), Operations, and Technology teams to gather data and support logistics projects.
- Collaborate on initiatives to streamline outbound logistics processes and improve customer satisfaction.
Financial Analysis and Budget Support

- Conduct cost analyses to support budget management and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track and report on logistics expenses, providing insights to support financial planning and efficiency.
- Run monthly actual vs. budget financial analyses, highlighting variances and supporting the development of action plans to stay within budget.
Holiday Peak Period Readiness

- Ensure all carriers are prepared for peak holiday periods, coordinating readiness plans and capacity reviews.
- Oversee the setup and vetting of maps to ensure seamless logistics operations during high-demand periods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or a related role.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle large data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with carriers and presenting findings to internal teams.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse management systems and ERP tools such as Netsuite is a plus.
